Before you can Field Test your module (i.e. see it up close in game world as a Play Character), you must bake your module. You have two choices, depending on where you are at your development process:
Since we only have one area right now, go ahead and choose «Bake Current Area». A dialog box will pop up with the following warning:
"Baking can be a lengthy process, are you sure you want to bake right now?"
Ponder the warning if you want, but you have not much choice here. Baking the module is a necessary step before you can Field Test it. Click on "YES" to proceed.
Depends on how powerful is your computer, the baking may take some time. If you have a very slow computer, you can several choices:
Before you proceed, this will be a good time to make sure your Neverwinter Nights 2 game disk (CD/DVD) is in the disk drive.
After the baking is done, you can now choose «Run Module».
Another even bigger dialog box will pop up and warn you about the consequence of NOT BAKING your area. Since we have already baked the area (if you have done all that I asked you to do in this tutorial), click OK and proceed.
At this point, if your game disk is in the disk drive, Neverwinter Nights 2 will load. And since you have click on «Run Module» from within the Toolset (as opposed to loading the game as a Player), you will be whisk right into the game with a preselect character (probably as a Drow).
[Note: Who you are right now isn't important. What you want is to look around the area you have created from the point of view (pov) of a Player Character. So get over the fact that you are a drow at the moment. (I know, the very idea of playing as a Drow bothers me.)]
You can't do very much in Fransk right now (in fact, nothing at all except walking around). You may want to check out the burned tavern (on the left), the new tavern (in the middle), and the sparse landscape (around you).
Now, we really do need some trees around this place, don't you agree?
[Funny: Since we have not yet set up the Door Transition, the model of the house allowed some very weird things should you try to use the doors. (By the way, there are two doors for the Swamp House.) If you open the front door and walk through it, you will immediately pass through the whole house! If you turn around, you will see the back door, and you can try the "passing through wall" trick one more time. (Try it, it actually work!) I have the distinct sensation that I am able to pass through walls. Very weird indeed.]
